The U17 HJL champions are Harpenden.

Under threatening skies at Bishops Stortford CC Harpenden batted first against their opponents Letchworth. Their innings got off to a steady start but after 13 overs with the score 54 -3 honours were fairly even. Letchworth pushed to take some more wickets to gain the initiative  but the brothers Cobb had other ideas and both completed accomplished 50's. This allowed Harpenden to reach a very competitive total of 215-9 in theIr 40 overs. Special mention to Piper for his 3-26 in 8 overs and Lee for two spectacular catches on the boundary.
The Letchworth innings struggled from the off against some strong Harpenden bowling. At halfway they had reached 54-3 and any real chance of victory had slipped away. Spirited innings by Stewart (34) and Piper (22 no) were the only significant contributions in their final total of 108ao. For Harpenden the wickets were shared amongst the Harpenden bowlers with 3 for Latham and 2 apiece for Wiles and Gibb.

The semi Finalist's for this years competition are: Hoddesdon v Hitchin; Bushey v Welwyn Garden City. Well done to those teams getting this far and good luck in the Semi's.
