Safeguarding and Match Sheets
The Junior League season will shortly commence and I just wanted to remind you all that for 2022 onwards, it is necessary for the home club to supply a completed Match Sheet to League Controller after the match.
The sheet must be signed by the manager/coach of both teams and a photo of the sheet emailed to the League Controller.
Safeguarding of young and vulnerable people has become a very important issue in recent years and it is essential that the League knows that the adults responsible for running Junior matches have the proper checks in place.
If a match sheet is not sent, then the League Controller will have discretion to deduct 5 points from that team on each occasion. Repeat offenders will be reported to the HJL League Committee who may decide to take further action, which could include expulsion from the competition.
I understand that we are all volunteers and that we give up our time to deliver Junior cricket in Hertfordshire but this is a 5-minute job which could be done at the same time as reporting the result, so please can you ensure that this is done promptly.
