Finals Day

5 group winners and 3 best runners up go through to the Quarter Finals

Quarter Finals to be played during the week commencing Sunday, 9th July 2017.

The Semi-Finals and Finals will be held on Sunday, 16th July at Hatfield & Crusaders Cricket Club.

Important! Entering scores for pairs matches

When entering the scores for a pairs match on CricHQ, the total number of runs entered MUST be the NET total (ie the total number of runs scored, less 5 runs for each wicket lost). The number of wickets lost is entered in the normal way.

For example, if a team scores 250 runs and loses 3 wickets, the score should be entered as 235 for 3.

Finals day 2017 was the culmination of two half months of cricket played across nearly 30 teams through group stages and quarter finals.  Four good sides met in the two semis at Hatfield & Crusaders on Sunday 16th July.

Chorleywood were drawn to play Bishops Stortford, while in the other match Berkhamsted played Knebworth.

In the first semil-final Chorleywood batted first scoring 291-7, in reply Bishops Stortford were restricted to 247-12.  In the other game, a strong Knebworth side outplayed Berkhamsted  The final was contested by two strong sides, Chorleywood batted first compiling a good score of 303-3, the pressure of the total coupled with some very good bowling and fielding made it challenging for Knebworth to keep up with the required run rate with early wickets adding to the challenge.  Despite a late rally Knebworth finished 240-10, Chorleywood winning the game by 63 runs.

Thank you to Hatfield & Crusaders for hosting the final, to the umpires on the day and to the Ian Watkins for coordinating the competition.
